Backdating a project
We are building a current day 1974 IROC clone, this was started on a Grand Prix White L-908 1974 911, and will be fitted with a 964 based 3.8L engine. The intent is for a super light 380 hp street/track monster - keep this project on your radar!
The engine will be managed by Mo Tec and feature our new billet EFI "Slide Valve" manifolds ! We are building this 914-4 conversion to 916 look with a 964 based 3.8L Mo Tec managed Slide Valve EFI engine & 915 WEVO mid-engine transaxle.
THEN CONVERSION TO LONG HOOD EARLY ST CONFIGURATION. This included the chassis was stripped, sent over for a strip & acid bath to find all the history of this car.
It has also had a 1989 930 torsion tube conversion that allows the fitment of 930 rear trailing arms ! It’s a car that I bought without the original 2.4L mechanical injection engine, although it did still have the orig. The car was so clean & complete I had thought about putting a 2.4L MFI engine back in, wait this thought only crossed my mind for a moment.I had true visions of grandeur ’73 RSR style with a ’96-‘98 3.6L DME V-Ram engine featuring A/C and Heat, coupled to one of our built '87-'89 G-50 gearboxes, and complete 930 turbo suspension. The car will over a modern A/C system featuring R-134 refrigerant & unitizing a front mounted 993 A/C condenser w- fan assist. This original 1979 930 chassis has been expertly converted to a lightweight 1974 911 RSR IROC inspired street racer!
This 914-6 will also incorporate the new M185 Mo Tec digital dash - Keep looking !WE STARTED WITH A CUSTOMER SUPPLIED 1984 911 CARRERA, FIRST COMPLETE DISASSEMBLY AND EVALUATION.
